A block for constructing a retaining wall and a construction method of a retaining wall using the blocks are provided to construct a retaining wall structure having various patterns by installing one or more retaining wall blocks having different sizes. A block for constructing a retaining wall comprises a first retaining wall block(10) provided with a head layered on a connection, a hanging projection projected to the upper part and an engaging projection formed in a space of the connection on the lower part, a second retaining wall block(20) provided with a head layered on a connection, a hanging projection projected to the upper part and an engaging projection formed in a space of the connection on the lower part, and formed to have the same height and the half of the length of the first retaining wall block, a third retaining wall block(30) provided with a head layered on a connection, a hanging projection projected to the upper part and an engaging projection formed in a space of the connection on the lower part, and formed to have the half of the height and the same length of the first retaining wall block, and a fourth retaining wall block(40) provided with a head layered on a connection, a hanging projection projected to the upper part and an engaging projection formed in a space of the connection on the lower part, and formed to have the half of the height and the half of the length of the first retaining wall block, so that the first, second, third and fourth retaining walls are formed to have different lengths and heights, wherein the heads of the first, second, third and fourth retaining walls are formed to be exposed to the outside when constructing a retaining wall, and the exposed surface includes many irregularities, and the first, second, third and fourth retaining walls are worn on the outer area as a whole to have many bends to give the feel of old stone. A construction method of a retaining wall using blocks comprises the steps of: pit-excavating the ground and filling up with rubble, and tamping and leveling; arranging first retaining walls on the tamped rubble to make contact laterally; forming a retaining wall structure by piling up one or more retaining wall blocks selected from first, second, third and fourth retaining wall blocks on the arranged first retaining wall blocks in many stages at the fixed height; connecting reinforcement grids on the upper side of the retaining wall structure; piling up retaining wall blocks on the retaining wall structure connected with the reinforcement grids, and installing reinforcement grids repeatedly to the fixed height; and installing finishing blocks on the uppermost end of the retaining all structure. |
