A transformer is provided to prevent damage without requiring different materials on both sides against a corona and a scratch by including high intensity and tensile strength. A transformer includes an E-shaped core unit(110), an I-shaped core unit(120), and an insulating material(150). The E-shaped core unit has a secondary coil(140) with a lager winding ratio than a primary coil(130). The I-shaped core unit is coupled to a lower part of the E-shaped core unit by welding or shape-fitting. The insulation material covers the primary and secondary coils so that the primary and secondary coils are insulated from the E-shaped core unit. The insulating material includes first and second insulating materials with U-shaped cross sections.
