A fusing device of an image forming apparatus is provided to prevent a fusing gear from being separated from a fusing roller by unwanted thrust applied to the fusing gear by using a blocking member for suppressing axial movement of a fusing gear. A fusing gear(30) is coupled with a fusing roller(10,20). A driving gear(40) transmits driving power to the fusing gear. Even when thrust is generated in a fusing gear due to excessive torque transmitted from a driving source(45) and pressure applied to a second fusing roller, a blocking member(50) limits axial movement of the fusing gear to prevent axial separation of the fusing gear.
