The present invention relates to a submillimeter integrated receiver with an improved phase-locked loop frequency control system based on cryogenic phase detector. The receiver includes a receiving unit, a cryogenic oscillator based on long Josephson junction (Flux Flow Oscillator, FFO), a harmonic mixer (HM), and a wide-band Phase- Locked Loop (PLL) frequency control system for stabilizing the oscillator frequency. The PLL system comprises a phase detector, a loop filter, a reference oscillator, and cryogenic amplifiers based on high-electron-mobility transistors (HEMT) located in a cryostat along with the oscillator and the HM. The phase detector is implemented in the form of a tunnel SIS junction and does not produce delays in the PLL system loop. All elements are located inside the cryostat. The technical effect of the invention consist of a decrease of a signal delay in the loop of the PLL frequency control system, which results in increased efficiency of the cryogenic oscillator synchronization. |
