732,271. Batteries. AKTIEBOLAGET FULLMANEN. Jan. 28, 1953 [Feb. 11, 1952], No. 2432/53. Class 53. An accumulator electrode comprises a carrier for the active material, the carrier being made of threads or fibres which are coated with metal before the active material is applied. The frame and contact strips of the electrode are made by compressing the electrode along certain lines and then subjecting the compressed portions to a further metal-plating treatment to bring the frame and contact strips to the thickness of the remainder of the electrode. The additional metal may be deposited from its vapour or by spraying or by electroplating. Specifications 681,999 and 732,270 are referred to. |
