A circulation type air cleaner is provided to supply cleaned air smoothly while effectively performing an air cleaning function and a deodorizing function even without using a high density filter. A circulation type air cleaner(100) comprises: a body(10) having an inlet(12) and an outlet(14) respectively formed thereon; a first channel(20) which is formed within the body, and connects the inlet and the outlet; a second channel(22) of which both ends are connected to the first channel; a shielding plate(50) installed on the outlet to optionally open or close the outlet; a filter(30) installed in the first channel; a fan(40) installed in the first channel to forcibly blow air of the first channel toward the outlet; a sensor(60) installed on the body to measure a pollution level of air exhausted through the outlet; and a control part installed on the body to control the operation of the shielding plate according to the measured pollution level of the sensor. The first and second channels are spatially separated by partition walls(11). The circulation type air cleaner further includes a shielding plate(50) for optionally opening or closing the inlet according to a control signal of the control part.
