A shock absorber for a vehicle using electromagnetic force is provided to control power supplied to an electromagnet unit according to load when driving by installing the electromagnet unit inside an upper and lower bodies of a shock absorber. A shock absorber for a vehicle using electromagnetic force comprises a hollow upper body(10) whose upper end portion is fixed to a vehicle frame, a hollow lower body(14) whose lower end portion is fixed to a suspension arm, a first and second electromagnet units(18,20) respectively installed in the upper and lower bodies faced to each other, wherein magnetic force is controlled by volume of applied power supply, a load sensor(22) detecting load variation when driving, a power application controller(24) controlling power supply applied to the electromagnet unit according to the volume of the load variation and a battery unit(26) supplying power to the power application controller.
