METHOD FOR CHANGING EMOTION OF SOFTWARE ROBOT

A method for changing emotion of a software robot is provided to enable emotion change to remove refusal or disparate feeling caused by mechanical communication of the software robot, and apply again an emotion change result to emotion of the software robot after the emotion of the software robot is changed. A user inputs stimulus data and an emotion value representing a current emotion state is increased according to the stimulus data generated for a predetermined period. Emotion corresponding to the emotion value is regarded as the emotion of the software robot when the emotion value exceeds a reference short-term emotion value, stores the reference short-term emotion value to a short-term and long-term storing part, and changes/sets the reference short-term reference value(307). The reference short-term emotion value is initialized to a stored reference long-term emotion value when a termination condition of the long-term storing part is completed(311). A reference emotion value is calculated and stored by using the reference long-term emotion values stored in the long-term storing part when the termination condition of the long-term storing part is completed(315).
