The device has an angle section (1) to delimit walls/flanges (29, 29`) forming support and fixation surfaces on an existing door frame (6) and walls/flanges (30, 30`) forming a new rabbet (1``). The section has a body (1`) whose structure and constitution are such that the rabbet presents, in a plane (P) of the door, a distance (FF) between rabbet parts of posts and a distance (FF) between a rabbet part of a crosspiece and the ground equal to that of a rabbet (6`) of the frame (6), and a depth (p) in a direction perpendicular to the plane equal to that of the rabbet (6`).
