The device (1) has a diffusion unit (3) diffusing an disinfecting substance (2) by natural evaporation in atmosphere which surrounds the device, where the substance has a phenolic active ingredient such as 3-methyl-4- sodium chlorophenolate, fragrant solution such as essence or essential oil, and solvent such as di-propylene glycol. Another alcohol type solvent such as ethanol, is mixed with the ingredient. A case (5) made of copolyester layer authorizes exchange between a retention unit (4) e.g. cellulose tampon, and ambient air. Weight proportion of the ingredient equals to 5 percentages. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for manufacturing an airway disinfection device (2) a method for processing a disinfecting substance.
