A bio-image processing system and a method thereof are provided to improve the amount of calculation and a processing speed. A gray level converting unit(102) converts bio-image data into gray level image data. A size leveling unit(104) divides the gray level image into blocks of a certain size. A threshold processing unit(108) calculates an average value of the blocks, compares a pixel value of pixels of each block with the average value, and converts it into binary data to generate binary image data. A patterning unit(110) divides the binary image data into sections of a certain size and substitutes the binary image data of each size with characters to convert the binary image data into a character string. A run length coding unit(112) performs compression/coding on the character string.
