A method for reusing gas of a landfill is provided to re-circulate a portion of leachate generated from the landfill to regulate the moisture content and the temperature of the landfill, thereby maximizing the production of landfill gas. A sulfide contained in leachate generated from a landfill is transformed into sulfate ion through a sulfating reaction within a sulfating bath(20). Ammonia nitrogen and organic nitrogen contained in the leachate are transformed into nitrate nitrogen within a nitrating bath(40). Sludge contained in the leachate is removed within a precipitating bath(50). A gas-extracting 1/8unit(100) extracts landfill gas, which is generated by recycling the treated leachate to the landfill, to recover carbon dioxide and methane. The gas-extracting unit includes a gas extraction rod buried in the landfill to a depth of 10-15 m, a filter for filtering off moisture and external particles from gas, which is inputted through the gas extraction rod, a compressor for compressing the treated landfill gas to 20-25 atm, and a cooler for cooling the landfill gas to a temperature ranging from -12‹C to -10‹C. The gas-extracting unit separates the cooled carbon dioxide and recovers un-liquefied methane in a gas state. Further, a pH of the landfill is 6.8-7.5. |
