The system (2) has cameras (8, 10) for generating an image of a three-dimensional scene located on a line of site. An electronic target locating device (38) is independent to the cameras and has a global positioning system (GPS) sensor (44) integrated to targets (4, 6) in the image. The sensor measures coordinates of the targets from a locating signal transmitted by a wireless transmitter (48) and provides the coordinates in a three-dimensional mark, where the transmitter is integrated to the targets. An indicator device (70) determines a position of the targets from the coordinates.
