A direct type back light unit and an LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) module having the direct type back light unit are provided to fix a lamp fixing substrate for holding at least one lamp onto a bottom cover without using an additional component, thereby simplifying an assembling process and reducing a time required for the assembling process. A direct type back light unit(100) includes at least one lamp(110), a bottom cover(130), a plate type lamp fixing substrate(120), optical sheets(150) and sheet supports(140). The bottom cover accommodates the lamp, and the lamp fixing substrate is located on the bottom cover and fixes the lamp. The optical sheets are arranged above the bottom cover. The sheet supports are placed between the optical sheets and the bottom cover, penetrate the lamp fixing substrate and are combined with the bottom cover. |
