The device (10) has a prehension handle (11) comprising a continuous shoulder (12) with a geometrical shape corresponding to that of an opening of a self supporting surface. The shoulder is positioned at the interior of the opening and against an inner wall. The handle comprises an opening (16) that permits passage of a prehension unit e.g. hand, for allowing the transport of the surface. The shoulder has a U shaped section and comprises a part (12a) curved towards exterior of the handle. The shoulder has a part (12b) provided opposite to the part (12a). An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a packaging device prehension device.
