ARRAY SUBSTRATE AND DISPLAY PANEL HAVING THE SAME

An array substrate and a display panel having the array substrate are provided to form an opening in a pixel region such that the opening is not superposed on a gate line or a data line so as to prevent light leakage. An array substrate includes a base substrate(210), a gate line, a data line(DL), a switch and a pixel electrode(251,252). The gate line is formed on the base substrate and extended in a first direction. The data line intersects the gate line and is extended in a second direction. The switch is electrically connected to the gate line and the data line. The pixel electrode is electrically connected to the switch, disposed in unparallel with the data line and partially superposed on the data line. The pixel electrode includes an opening(253c) which is not superposed on the data line.
