A vise is provided to improve accuracy and safety by preventing torsion and error in a workpiece when clamping the workpiece even with a worn guide. A vise preventing a slider from being lifted up when clamping a workpiece has a base(10) having a support(11) at one side and a guide(12) at the other side, a slider(20) sliding on the guide, jaws(30) installed on the support and the front side of the slider with facing each other, a rack(40) having a nut(50) passing a screw through the upper portion of the rack extended above the surface of the base, a screw(60) assembled to the nut with one end thread-fastened to the slider, and a concave formed where one end of the screw is thread-fastened to the slider. The nut is located higher than the concave so that the other end of the screw is inclined upward. |
