RADIO FREQUENCY TRANSMITTER WITH ON-CHIP PHOTODIODE ARRAY

An RFIC(Radio Frequency Integrated Circuit) with an on-chip photodiode array is provided to enable multiplexers to be implemented as connection nodes in accordance with RFIC half duplex operation. A photodiode array circuit(100) is coupled to convert received light into electrical image signals. A digital conversion module(102) is coupled to convert the electrical image signals into digital image signals. A transmission baseband processing module(104) is coupled to convert the digital image signals into digital transmission baseband or low IF signals. An analog conversion module(106), an up-conversion module(108), and a power amplifier circuit(110) are coupled to convert the digital transmission baseband or low IF(Intermediate Frequency) signals into transmission RF(Radio Frequency) signals.
