METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR TRANSMITTING ENCRYPTION KEY MESSAGE THROUGH INTERACTION CHANNEL IN BROADCASTING SYSTEM

A method and a system for transmitting encryption key message via a bi-directional channel in a broadcasting system are provided to offer a substantial format of an encryption key message transmitted via a bi-directional channel to protect a service and/or contents. A BSD/A(Broadcast Service Distribution/Adaptation)(30) generates an STKM(Short-Term Key Message) including a TEK(Traffic Encryption Key) encrypting a service and/or contents(301). The BSD/A(30) transfers the generated STKM to a BSM(Broadcast Subscription Management)(40)(303). The BSM(40) transmits the received STKM to a terminal(50) via a bi-directional channel. In this case, one or a plurality of STKMs may be transmitted, and the BSM(40) manages the STKM together with time information at which the STKM is transmitted to the terminal(50).
