PARITY CHECK MATRIX STORING METHOD, BLOCK LDPC CODING METHOD AND THE APPARATUS USING PARITY CHECK MATRIX STORING METHOD

A parity check matrix storing method, a block low density parity check coding method and apparatus using the same are provided to reduce a memory amount for storing a parity check matrix by storing and using a shift weight corresponding to partial blocks A, B and C. A block low density parity check coding method includes the steps of: shifting circularly an information unit block included in an information block based on a shift weight of partial blocks corresponding to A and C(S310); generating at least one parity partial block of the partial block A(S320) and a first parity block corresponding to the partial blocks A and C by adding the circularly shifted result(S330); adding the circularly shifted result of the first parity block to the parity partial block in response to the shift weight corresponding to the partial block B, and generating a second parity block by arranging the added result; and generating a code word by combining the information block, the first parity block, and the second parity block.
