PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a showcase that is favorable from a viewpoint of environmental protection, efficiently transporting cold generated by a low temperature part of a Stirling refrigerating machine to a merchandise holding box to cool merchandise, stably cooling the merchandise, and capable of preventing increase of electric energy consumption. SOLUTION: The showcase 1 is provided with a case body 10 having an opening 11 being openable and closable by a glass door 12, and the merchandise holding box 13 arranged in an interior of the case body 10. It is provided with a cold transport means 30 for cooling the merchandise held in the merchandise holding box 13 by passing a coolant for cooling receiving the cold generated by the Stirling refrigerating machine 20 through an evaporation passage 32a arranged on an outer surface of the merchandise holding box 13 and carrying out evaporation, and returning the evaporated coolant for cooling to a condensation heat exchanger 31, and a return piping 50 branched off from an optional branch point P1 of the evaporation passage 32a, introduced with the evaporated coolant for cooling in a branch point P1 neighborhood, and returning it to the condensation heat exchanger 31.
