PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a thermoformable moldable paper enabling the production of a bulky deep draw molded article having characteristics such as heat insulating property, warmth-keeping property, cushioning property, etc., and also not causing breakage/wrinkles on deep draw-molding of a bulky formed article. SOLUTION: The deep drawn moldable paper which is a foamable and moldable paper capable of being thermally molded, consisting mainly of an N-BKP (needle leaf tree-bleached kraft pulp), a thermoplastic synthetic fiber and expandable microcapsule particles, wherein the moldable paper is a multi-layered paper consisting of a surface layer, a middle layer and a reverse surface layer, having a wood pulp blending ratio of≥51%, blending 10 to 40 mass% expandable microcapsule particles expanding approximately 4 to 5 folds in diameter and≥60 folds in volume by heating, based on 100 mass% fibrous layer in the middle layer, the expandable microcapsule particles are not blended in the surface and reverse surface layers or the maximum 10 mass% of the microcapsule particles are blended in the middle layer so as to be less than those in the middle layer, the mixture is dried without foaming the micro capsule particles in the drying process of a papermaking machine, calendared and then wound into a thickness of≤1 mm.
