PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new tetrabenzanthracene derivative having excellent heat-resistance and provide an organic electroluminescence device having high luminescence efficiency and excellent heat-resistance. SOLUTION: The invention provides a tetrabenzanthracene derivative expressed by formula (1). The tetrabenzanthracene derivative has excellent heat-resistance, keeps stability even in the form of a thin film and is usable e.g. as an organic layer of an organic electroluminescence device.
