PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load handling control device of an industrial vehicle enabling the proper and easy operation of a load handling operation lever according to the operating conditions of a load handling mechanism even if the operating conditions of the load handling mechanism by the operation of the load handling operation lever are different. SOLUTION: This load handling control device of an industrial vehicle comprises a hydraulic pump 20 driven by an engine 13 and operating the load handling mechanism, an output control means for controlling the output of the engine according to the operation amount of an accelerator pedal 33, and a lever operation detection means for detecting the operation of the load handling operation lever. The load handling control device further comprises a mode selector means for selecting engine output increasing modes with different increasing rates up to a set increasing value set beforehand.
