PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve durability of an anvil for pressurizing one end part of a bar-like blank with a simple method. SOLUTION: An upsetting forming apparatus is provided with: a nearly disk-like striking plate 18 connected to the lower side of a housing arranged so as to be freely elevated/lowered; and a columnar forging-compression table pivotally-supported so as to be rotatable along a peripheral direction at the lower part side of the above striking plate 18, and is arranged so as to be freely elevated/lowered by abutting on one end part of the bar-like blank being a forming material. Further, on virtual straight line A, a first eccentric attaching position where the axial center O2 of the anvil 22 is made eccentric with respect to the axial center O1 of the striking plate 18 by a prescribed distance to one side, and a second eccentric attaching position, where the axial center O2 of the anvil 22 is made eccentric with respect to the axial center O1 by a prescribed distance to the other side opposite to the above direction, are arranged so as to be changeable with each other.
