REMOVAL METHOD OF SELENIUM AND/OR ARSENIC IN WASTE LIQUID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel removal method of selenium and/or arsenic in a waste liquid capable of clearing a level of a new drain standard (0.1 ppm) by putting the use advantage of a solid adsorbent to practical use and enabling the selective adsorptive separation of selenium and/or arsenic with high efficiency. SOLUTION: Barium ions are brought into contact with the waste liquid containing selenium and/or arsenic to obtain a treated liquid from which selenium and/or arsenic is removed in an insolubilized state and an adsorbent or a separating agent is brought into contact with the treated liquid to adsorb and remove selenium and/or arsenic to clear the drain standard level.
