PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for forming a simulated image for a cross-sectional image of a human body having a lesion without depending on a phantom. SOLUTION: Actual scan data of a subject collected by an X-ray CT apparatus is introduced (P1). Virtual scan data on a virtual lesion set in a virtual scan space is generated (P2) by an X-ray CT simulator having the same geometry as the X-ray CT apparatus which collects the actual scan data. Synthetic scan data are generated (P3) by superimposing the virtual scan data on the actual scan data for each of the same views. An image is reconstructed from the synthetic scan data (P4).
