PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rice cooker for the improvement of the taste by efficiently generating steam with fine accuracy and realizing a smaller sized steam rice cooker for steam cooking by performing heating from an upper part which is less liable to the heating of rice and water inside a pot, and preventing the drying of the upper part. SOLUTION: The rice cooker comprises: a rice cooker main body 21; a pot 22; a pot heating means 24 for heating the pot; a lid 23 for covering the opening of the pot; a steam generation means for generating steam; a steam heating means for heating the steam generated by the steam generation means; and a water supply tank for storing water to be supplied to the steam generation means.
