A power plug having a timer is provided to prevent an electric device from being overheated by supplying and cutting off power as long as a pre-set time period set by a user. A lower body(11) includes a pair of connection terminals(12a,12b) protruded at a lower end and ground terminals(12c) installed at both side portions thereof, and a timer mounting recess(13) at an upper portion thereof and three recesses(15a,15b,15c) formed at certain intervals at the side of power cord lines(14a,14b). A connection terminals(17) constituting power terminal connection portions(16a,16b,16c) is inserted and fixed in the recesses(15a,15b,15c). The power cord lines(14a,14b) are connected to the power terminal connection portions(16a,16b). When a small timer(30) is mounted in the mounting hole(17), terminals(51,58) are connected. An end of the connection terminal(17) of the power terminal connection portion(16c) is connected to the connection terminal(12a). An end of the connection terminal(17) of the power terminal connection portion(16b) is connected to the connection terminal(12b). The power terminal connection portion(16b) is connected to a terminal(55) of a timer(30). A power cord ground line(14c) is connected to the ground terminal(12c). An upper body(21) includes a hole(22) and bolt holes(23) at both sides of an upper portion thereof to allow a rotational shaft(78) of the timer(30) to be positioned at the center of the upper body(21). The upper body(21) and the lower body(11) are combined by means of fixing bolts(24). A timer control knob(25) is installed at the rotational shaft(78).
