<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a current sensor capable of high precision and easily performing assembling. <P>SOLUTION: A sensor chip 20 forms a vertical Hall element to be arranged in a gap 11 of a core 10. A case 30 is composed of a resin case body 31 and a case cover 32. In a storing chamber 33 of the resin case body 31, the core 10 and the sensor chip 20 are fixed so that a vertical Hall element formation face 20a of the sensor chip 20 is in parallel to the direction of a magnetic field in a state where the sensor chip 20 is a bare chip.
