<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal print head to increase a printing speed. <P>SOLUTION: The thermal print head A1 has a substrate 1, a glaze 2, electrodes 3A and 3B, and a heat generating resistive element 5 in which the part not in contact with the electrode 3A or 3B is a heat generating portion 5a. Distal end portions 31A and 31B of the electrodes 3A and 3B are configured to be recessed with respect to the glaze 2, are interposed between the heat generating portion 5a of the heat generating resistive element 5 and the glaze 2. An insulation film 4 has hardness higher than the hardness of the glaze 2 and lower than the hardness of the heat generating resistive element 5. and has thermal conductivity higher than the thermal conductivity of the glaze 2 and lower than the thermal conductivity of the heat generating resistive element 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
