FLAT ELECTROCHEMICAL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flat electrochemical cell which does not cause a decrease or failure in insulation even if a crack or pinhole is formed on inner edge corners of adjacent peripheral thermoadhesive portions when the peripheral edge thermoadhesive portions are folded to reduce the overall size of the electrochemical cell. SOLUTION: An electrochemical element having positive and negative electrodes is interposed between two outer sheathes. Metal terminals connected to the positive and negative electrodes are projected out of the outer sheathes, and the electrochemical element is sealed inside the peripheral thermoadhesive portions to form the flat electrochemical cell having a square shape in a flat view. The inner edge corners of adjacent peripheral thermoadhesive portions are chamfered by corner thermoadhesive portions. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
