PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce packaging height and packaging volume by packaging a piezoelectric ceramics on a circuit board without damaging the piezoelectric ceramics. SOLUTION: The piezoelectric transformer comprises: the piezoelectric ceramics 2 formed, for example, in a rectangular parallelepiped shape; a primary electrode 4 formed on a pair of two outer surfaces in the thickness direction; a secondary electrode 6 formed on one outer surface; a circuit board 8 where circuits connected to the primary electrode 4 and the secondary electrode 6 are formed; holding members 10, 12 that hold the piezoelectric ceramics 2 by sandwiching it at an area to the circuit board 8 and connect the primary electrode 4 and the secondary electrode 6 to circuits each; and conductive adhesive 14 interposed between the primary electrode 4 and the secondary electrode 6, and the circuits. The vibration of the piezoelectric ceramics 2 is absorbed by the conductive adhesive 14 thus preventing vibration from being blocked by the holding members 10, 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
