PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably use a surface acoustic wave apparatus as a filter for reception by securing a sufficient out-band attenuation. SOLUTION: In the surface acoustic wave apparatus, a surface acoustic wave element 1 wherein a filter having two stages of filter elements of an input stage and an output stage obtained by arranging IDT electrodes and reflectors on one main surface of a piezoelectric substrate 10 in a double mode structure are connected vertically is formed is loaded on a wiring board 2.
