PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a granular detergent composition for clothing, excellent in detergency, storage stability, etc., also suppressed in scattering tendency because of being of granular form, and high in solubility, and to provide a method for producing the composition and a method for using it, respectively. SOLUTION: The granular detergent composition for clothing essentially comprises (A) an alkali metal salt, (B) a sequestrant, (C) a surfactant and (D) a polyelectolyte polymer.
