PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a post-processing causing no defect even when different types of sheets of paper are post-processed together. SOLUTION: This post-processing device 10 comprises a stapler 120 for performing the post-processing in which multiple sheets of paper including the sheets of paper discharged from an image forming device 200 are bound together, a conveying path 170a for conveying the sheets of paper to the stapler 120, a standby part having a large diameter drum 190 and a pair of conveying rollers 140c, 140d installed in the conveying path 170a and temporarily stand ready the paper, and a control part 11 for controlling the temporary standby operation of the standby part.
