PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the weight reduction and high rigidity of a movable board compatible. SOLUTION: The movable floor device for an automobile comprises a movable board 5 installed beneath feet of an occupant seated in an occupant seat 4, an electric motor 6 as a drive source, and a driving-force transmission mechanism 7 transmitting the driving-force of the electric motor 6 to the movable board and driving that to move upward/downward. The movable board 5 has a platy board portion 22 forming a placing surface of the feet of the occupant, and a frame 24 formed in a frame shape extending along an outer peripheral edge portion, detachably supporting the board portion 22, and made from material with higher stiffness than that of the board portion 22.
