A metallization film capacitor which achieves higher heat resistance and higher withstand voltage simultaneously. In the metallization film capacitor where a pair of metallization films each produced by forming a metal vapor deposition electrode on a PEN film are wound such that the metal vapor deposition electrodes oppose each other through a dielectric film and metallikon electrodes are formed on the opposite end faces, the metal vapor deposition electrode is provided with a split electrode portion. Furthermore, a self-security function is provided by connecting the split electrode portions through a fuse portion, and the path ratio a/b of a vapor deposition pattern represented by the ratio between the width (a) of the fuse portion and the length (b) of the split electrode portion in the longitudinal direction of the metallization film is set at 4.0 or less.
