A light emitting device is provided to emit light through re-coupling of holes by facilitating movement of the holes from an electrode to a light emitting layer. A light emitting device includes a substrate(300), a first electrode(310), a hole injection layer(320), an electron accepting layer(325), a light emitting layer(340), and a second electrode(360B). The first electrode is placed on the substrate. The hole injection layer is positioned on the first electrode. The electron accepting layer is placed on the hole injection layer. The light emitting layer is positioned on the electron accepting layer. The second electrode is placed on the light emitting layer. The electron accepting layer includes at least one selected from a group consisting of a hydroxyl group, a cyanogen group, and a halogen group with high electron affinity. |
