摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment friendly driver of series hybrid system rail vehicle in which a situation capable of engine stop is judged appropriately, and an idle stop control system ensuring stabilized powering performance while taking into account response of engine power generation is achieved while reducing fuel consumption and engine noise. <P>SOLUTION: A system general control section in the driver of rail vehicle judges whether generation power of an engine is required or not based on the rotational speed of a generator, the rotational speed of a motor, and an internal state signal obtained from a power accumulator and controls power generation state by an operation command to the engine and an operation command to a converter. Furthermore, when generation power of the engine is not required, the system general control section judges whether the engine can be stopped or not, and can give a command for stopping the engine by an operation command to the engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p>
