PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video display system, a communication terminal device, and a video display device that can speedily perform display control over images displayed in a plurality of display areas of one device. SOLUTION: The video display system comprises the communication terminal device and video display device. The communication terminal device includes a signal transmitting means of transmitting at least one of a first control signal corresponding to an indication input that a first input receiving means receives and a second control signal corresponding to an indication input that a second input receiving means receives to the video display device. The video display device performs display control over an image displayed in a first display area provided on a display means when receiving the first control signal and performs display control over an image displayed in a second display area provided on the display means when receiving the second control signal.
