STABILIZATION OF NITROGEN-CONTAINING AND OXYGEN-CONTAINING ORGANOSILANES USING WEAKLY BASIC ION-EXCHANGE RESINS

A stabilization method of nitrogen-containing and oxygen-containing organosilanes is provided to retard decomposition of organosilanes and increase storage life time of the organosilanes by protecting them from acid catalyst by using weakly basic ion-exchange resins. A stabilization method of nitrogen-containing and oxygen-containing organosilanes comprises the steps of: (a) contacting organosilanes with weak basic ion-exchange resins acting as amine functional group under condition to remove remaining anions or metal cations in organosilanes without hydrolysis of organosilanes for 1-50 hours; (b) separating the organosilanes from the weak basic ion-exchange resins; and (c) distilling the separated organosilanes, wherein nitrogen-containing organosilane is bis(tertiary-butylamino)silane, diethylaminosilane or di-isopropylaminosilane.
