<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a double-suction type centrifugal blower that is compact in size while keeping a required air capacity, in the double-suction type centrifugal blower used to be built in a wind path of equipment such as ventilation and blower equipment, and an air conditioner. <P>SOLUTION: A double-suction type centrifugal blower includes an impeller 13 in which a plurality of blades 25 are disposed between a main plate 22 connected to a drive shaft 12 within a fan casing 17 and a fan side plate, a fan suction port 29 in which a blade bore formed of these blades 25 serves as a suction port. A total pressure rise of the blades 25 can be equalized in the drive shaft 12 direction by forming a blade bore at a larger pressure loss side in a suction air path to the fan suction port 29 to be smaller than that of the other blade bore, thus providing the double-suction type centrifugal blower that is compact in size while keeping a required air capacity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
