<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition that suppresses fat accumulation by its suppressive action against differentiation of precursor fat-cells and lipolytic action and serves as a novel material potentially effective for suppressing excessive fat accumulation in fat cells and preventing or eliminating regional or overall obesity, and to provide a pharmaceutical product that contains the fat accumulation suppressing composition and is suitably used for anti-obesity use. <P>SOLUTION: The pharmaceutical product is prepared by compounding an active amount of the fat accumulation suppressing composition which comprises an aqueous solvent extract of Japanese horseradish as an active ingredient, wherein the aqueous solvent extract is preferably prepared via a step of extracting at least one part chosen from a rhizome, a petiole and a leaf of Japanese horseradish with hot water. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
