<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus having a controlling apparatus capable of ensuring enough heat radiation even in a space part where no contact part in present in a box consisting of a thermally conductive resin. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes a controlling apparatus 30, in which a box 31 covering a substrate 36 loaded with electronic components 32, 33 and 34 and contacting parts 40, 41 and 42 coming into contact with the electronic components 32-34 installed in the box 31, are formed of the thermally conductive resin.
