PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a position measurement system capable of acquiring a position measurement result and making a different portable terminal use the position measurement result even when a portable terminal in which a system for using a GPS to measure the position of its own device of an MS-assisted type can not be connected to a center. SOLUTION: A portable telephone 1 transmits a GPS signal received from a GPS satellite 3 to a digital camera 2 by a short distance wireless communication. The digital camera 2 processes the GPS signal transmitted from the portable telephone 1, measures the position of the portable telephone 1 and returns a measurement result to the portable telephone 1.
