PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that it is impossible to directly transmit an image read by a scanner to an image accumulation device via a network for storing it. SOLUTION: In this image storage system having the image accumulation device and the scanner device, the scanner device is provided with a reading part, a control point part functioning as a control point in networked plug-and-play, and a device part. The device part notifies that the device part serves as a storage device in the networked plug-and-play to the control part. The device part transmits image data with a reservation file name to the image accumulation device to store them when receiving a file transmission request which is transmitted according to a user instruction to read an image placed on the scanner device and store the read image data in the image accumulation device with the previously decided reservation file name.
