PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact gas-liquid separator having superior separating efficiency without affected by terms and conditions such as an intermediate pressure. SOLUTION: This gas-liquid separator 16 comprises a pole-shaped main body portion 21 provided with a spiral flow channel 22 inside, an inflow pipe 25 disposed to be communicated with one end side of the spiral flow channel 22, and a gas outflow pipe 26 and a liquid discharge pipe 27 for allowing a gas refrigerant and a liquid refrigerant separated in the spiral flow channel 22 to flow. The main body portion 21 is composed of a column-shaped rod member 24, and a bottomed cylindrical member 23 disposed in a state of surrounding an outer periphery of the rod member 24, and a spiral screw portion 24a is formed on an outer peripheral face of the rod member 24.
