The invention relates to a machine element (1) with an axial bore (2) which has a nominal diameter (7) in the unmounted state, wherein the axial bore (2) can be expanded to a specified desired diameter (13) during the mounting operation, with the formation of a press fit. The object of the present invention is to design a machine element of this kind such that using simple means it is possible to detect or monitor during the mounting operation whether the axial bore of the machine element in the mounted state has reached the desired diameter required according to the configuration of the connection. For this purpose, there is provided an indicator element (15) which is arranged with clearance with respect to a reference surface (16, 17), wherein the clearance is reduced to zero once the desired diameter (13) has been reached. |
