<p>An elevator device comprises a hoist machine (6) which is installed at the inside top of a hoistway (1) and has a stator (2), a housing (3) into which the stator (2) is received, and a rotor (5) rotatably mounted on the housing (3) and formed integrally with a driving sheave (4); a main rope (7) wound around the driving sheave (4), a car (8) suspended from the main rope (7) and vertically moving in the hoistway (1); and a balance weight (9) suspended from the main rope (7) and vertically moving in the hoistway (1) in linkage with the car (8). Housing vent holes (3a) are formed in the housing (3) and rotor vent holes (5a) are formed in the rotor (5). The rotor (5) is provided with a wind generation vane (10) at a position near the rotor vent holes (5a). When the rotor (5) is rotated together with the driving sheave (4), a forced convection passing through the housing vent holes (3a) and the rotor vent holes (5a) is generated in the hoistway (1) by the wind generation vane (10).</p> |
